CIDNA Poster (reproduction) by Edmond

Maurus (ca. 1930)

One of the most beautifully designed early French civil aviation posters. CIDNA (Compagnie Internationale de Navigation Aerienne) was one of five privately held airlines to merge under government supervision into the conglomerate Air France in 1933, thus ending the first great era of French commercial aviation. This poster is particularly well printed utilizing the heavy application of inks, especially in the silver ‘arrow’ motif to deliver a quality, classic appearance. Dimensions: 38 x 26 ½ “ framed. Frame is brushed aluminum, dark blue Neilsen-type, with some surface scratching. Glazed in plexiglass (which should be replaced). Item can be shipped
unframed and rolled at reduced expense. A fine reproduction of an early French poster, (current market value over $3000.00) at a very affordable price.
