Our Ford-Cosworth XB cam cover is an impressive reminder of those heady days of open-wheel competition. It is finished in black semi-gloss engine paint, and the cast-in ‘Ford’, and ‘Cosworth’ raised lettering has been burnished to reveal the underlying aluminum. Custom brass ‘blanking plates’ cover original openings creating a finely finished look. Completing the presentation is a lovely fine-grained oak backing board to which is affixed a large brass plaque stating: ‘Cosworth XB Engine Cam Cover, Raced at Laguna, Indy, Portland’. ‘Part #XB 1225, Serial #DH 0095’. The designations ‘DH’, and ‘095’ are also stamped into the cover. Black felt backing is attached to the board, as well as two heavy duty hangers for wall mounting. Photographs do not do justice to this remarkable item. It is very impressive, and will be a real standout in any collection of racing memorabilia. 24” long x 11 ½” high x 3” deep.
