You may recognize the cover image of this remarkable book as the same gorgeous Ferrari that graces Aeromobilia’s home page. It is none other than the scratchbuilt 1:12 scale 375MM ‘Rossellini’ constructed by master model builder Marshall L. Buck of Creative Miniature Associates. This one-off example, created for the owner of the real car, is undoubtedly one of the very finest custom-built model automobiles in the world today. In fact, you could put a real Ferrari in your garage for what this masterpiece cost! Requiring roughly a year of construction time, and with virtually none of the hundreds of parts extant, master craftsman Buck faced a daunting challenge. Through extensive drawings, measurements of the real car, and reference photographs, all of the various assemblies came together. The engine alone is a wonder (comprised of over 600 parts!), and a very few lucky collectors were able to purchase a copy of this motor.
