Windscreen and window glass is cleverly represented by a matte or etched surface which contrasts nicely with the highly polished bodywork. The underside reveals Dr. Ferry Porsche’s signature, the words ‘Porsche 911 Baujahr ( year of construction) 1977, M 1:43, Porsche Design Produkte Vertriebgesellschaft (distribution company) MBH, Sterlingsilver 925’. The model is also hallmarked on the base with the scales and duck stamps which signify genuine Swiss .925 silver. There are corresponding hallmarks on the passenger side rocker panel as well. ‘IWC’ is stamped on the base. This is the first of a proposed series of models by IWC for Porsche, but we are unaware of any subsequent examples being produced. Model is accompanied by a crimson velvet storage bag, informational paperwork, and mahogany presentation box. A perfect piece for the Porsche owner or enthusiast!
