“The Model Maker” by Alan Fearnley

A wonderfully evocative print depicting a gentleman putting the finishing touches on a large-scale Mercedes W 125 Grand Prix racer from 1937. He is surrounded by all the tools of his trade; pliers, screwdrivers, a penknife, paints, scale plans and reference books. Pictures of vintage racers hang on the wall behind him and a completed model rests atop a bookshelf to the right. Fearnley achieves a marvelous aura of nostalgia without oversentimentality. Print size is approximately 23 x19 inches, and is tastefully framed in a black, brushed metal Neilsen-type frame with anti-reflective glass. Frame dimensions: 27 ¼ x 23 ¾ inches. # 86 in an edition of 500 worldwide. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Grand Prix Sportique, Ltd., Bedford, England.
