Watkins Glen Medallion

An incredibly rare and valuable item for the collector of Watkins Glen and Grand Prix memorabilia. A contestant’s badge from the 1951 Grand Prix, featuring a Jaguar XK 120 depicted at speed. The G.P. at the ‘Glen in 1951 was won by Phil Walters piloting a Cunningham C-2, while second place was secured by John Fitch. The medallion is comprised of burgundy pigment overlaying an aluminum disk. Measures approximately 3 1⁄2 inches in diameter. Superb condition.
